Well Sunday 3rd October i will be setting up a stall at the Birmingham handmade market, along with other talented local artists and designer-makers ready to share their gorgeous creations with you!

The handmade market is located in Birmingham’s Bull Ring area, between the Bullring shopping centre and the Rag Market, on Edgbaston Street. It’s just a few minutes walk from either New Street or Moor Street stations, and served by lots of buses.

So if your in the area please come over and see all the wonderful handmade goodies :) the market is open every weekend Saturday 9am – 11am and Sunday 11am – 5pm

I've been wondering whether or not to change my style, i'm not selling much lately and though i love the flowers :) maybe other people aren't as fond of them as i am, or is it just a case of me needing to do a lot more, much needed promotion?? i'm not very good at promoting, i'm quite shy really so don't really know how to get across to potential buyers, i love what i'm making a the moment and feel i've finally found my style, idividual unique pieces that i don't think can be found anywhere else by someone else making similar pieces, think i'll try some more subtle pieces maybe :) x

I love drawing, always doodling on anything so thought i'd have a go making something other than jewellery for change, i bought a few cotton tote bags and thought i'd decorate them with some drawings of my fave subject (the owl) i think they turned out quite well, although it was harder to colour with the fabric crayons i enjoyed the change, mmmm what else can i make now? xx

Had a load of these vintage plastic flowers arrive last week, as you can see i'm quite addicted to them, i thought i'd try them on some hair clip findings and as an adjustable ring, think they turned out quite well, the hair clips have been mounted onto thick paper/card that has a print of one of my drawings onto it.

Went to see Eddie Izzard at the NIA last night, it was our first night out for ages with out Ethan, had a really good night ,very funny (though the women sitting next to me had fallen asleep during the show, had to keep moving out of the way to avoid her head as it kept lolling to my side lol) was a nightmare to get out of the car park though, it was nearly midnight when we got home and the show finished at half ten, oh well it was worth it!!!

Just phoned my Auntie thats had Ethan for the night, says hes fine and will bring him home later, wow haven't had this much time to myself for a long time, not sure what to do with myself, should be doing housework i suppose but i don't want to i just want to do nothing as i don't ever get this anymore :) naughty i know xxx

Well i finally got my vintage enamel flowers in the post the other day, and they are FAB!!!

So as soon as Ethan went to bed last nite i got the pliers and wire cutters out, some chain and lucite moonglow beads and began, heres what i made :)

I love these flowers, there expensive though so won't be buying anymore till i sell this bracelet, i have enough left for 1 more bracelet, hhhmmmmm shall i save them or shall i have another play tonight????

Hi i'm back, i hadn't realised how long it had been since my last post (oops) i was no good at keeping a diary so i'm not surprised i'm crap at keeping this up to date as well, oh well not much to report, just been busy with making a few custom orders i've had,opening an account on stumble oh and trying to do my own website on jimdo (going very slowly)

Heres a pic of one of my custom orders from Hatastic, she wanted the beads the colour of Cadburys dairy milk wrapper purple, i was really chuffed with how close the beads (fresh water pearls) i found were to the colour she wanted :)

We went to the Town and country show today, i actually really enjoyed myself, i remember going about 15 yrs ago (That makes me feel old!!) and feeling really bored so was quite surprised that i'd enjoyed it today. it probably had something to do with taking Ethan, he loved looking at the animals especially the parrots, he couldnt stop smiling bless him, ohh and was going nuts over the man in the bunny costume, he just kept pointing and grunting, soo funny.

Well i've finally (i hope) managed to get the chocolate birthday cake up off the floor, i keep finding it everywhere!! even up his nose :),

It was Ethans first birthday on Thursday, cant believe he is 1 already, where has the time gone, its quite scarey

His Grandma bought him a chocolate birthday cake, i was giving him little pieces at first but he managed to get my big :) piece and started to eat it, he loved it, made such a mess though.

He was such a good boy, spoilt rotten though, i need to move to a bigger house just to put his toys in. Hes having a little birthday party today, i can't wait, more cake!! xx

Well i finally gave in, i swore i'd never get one, i think they look like little prisons, but i got the dreaded playpen!!, its not that bad actually, and he loves it (well it holds his attention for half hour) its great i can now make a cuppa without worrying where he is, whats he putting in his mouth, and also its great for putting all his toys in at the end of the day,best buy yet :)

Well my 10 month old has decided he's not happy with just crawling now, he wants to stand up, hes pulling himself up on everything and i mean everything and coasting around the living room holding onto chairs, tables you name it, and cries when i try to move him off, i really need to babyproof the house some more, its great you can't wait for them to start to walk and when they do you realise why people say its a nightmare ha ha :) xxx

Since i only came across the world of blogging from making my jewellery i thought it would only be right to show you a few of my faves :)

For this charm bracelet i have used lots of different beads in all shapeS and sizes, theres glass,crackle,felt,plastic,Cloisonne,lampwork, old and new,i have hand wired them to a copper tone curb chain and finished it with a copper tone toggle clasp, i think this makes a great bracelet, very big bold and chunky, will definately get noticed.

This gorgeous necklace has been made with lots of colourful vintage flowers in all shapes and sizes i have hand wired them using a silver coloured wire i have also used some lemon,orange and pink coloured felt beads that complement the flowers beautifully, to finish the necklace i have added some purple plastic beads with a silver plated heart shaped toggle clasp at the end.

This gorgeous necklace has been made with lovely lemon,orange and pink coloured felt beads that i have threaded onto an orange satin ribon with emerald green wooden beads,i have hand sewn lots of colourful vintage flowers in all shapes and sizes and pretty beads to the felt beads which i think compliment them beautifully,You can tie the necklace into a bow to fit.Beautifully bold and bright for summer.

First day of blogging

Ok soo far soo good, today i've got terrible toothache, never had it before but i went to the dentist a couple of weeks ago, first time in 10yrs (did i mention i'm absolutely terriffied of dentists!!!) and he gave me a filling :( i suppose i'm lucky thats all i needed having not been for soo long, anyway i did the usual screaming and crying thing while he did his work on my mouth it was awful!!! so its been playing up ever since, its really sensitive and on Saturday i went to a wedding it was brilliant, the bride looked beautiful, the groom looked great in his kilt, it was such a good day!!We got to our hotel room at 1.30am and as soon as my head hit the pillow the toothache started, oh my god it hurt soo much, i'd had no pain at all during the day why start now?!?, it kept me a wake all night, what made it worse was the fact that it was my partner and my first night away together since having our little boy in July, we'd been looking forward to it for soo long, got the babysitter, booked a great room in a nice hotel, and this ruined it, i was just a crying mess all night and the next day, on the way home my partner kept mentioning the dentist and that i'd have to have my tooth taken out, i swear i had a major panick attack,well my hands and arms started to go numb,i was hyperventilating i thought i was going to pass out, i made him pull over on a busy road and i flew out of the car and just sat on the grass by the side of the road, he must have thought i'd gone mad, took him ages to get me back in that car, bless him. haha

So back to today, well i've still got toothache and i keep putting off going to the dentist i'm hoping its just going to fall out by itself :) i doubt it though, really don't know what to do, my partner said to me this morning as he left for work "don't forgot about your tooth" like i'm going to forget about it, IT HURTS!!!
